A great day in Columbia!

I love the Columbia Triathlon--even if I've never done it myself. It's just that every time I go to see this race, I always leave so inspired. Yesterday's event did not disappoint as we watched Ula WIN her first major pro race! It was thrilling for us all. She has been working so hard and no one more justly deserved to cross the finish line first (well, no one except for Bec, who was winning handily before she had to exit the race because of her foot injury). The most exciting moment came when the announcer exclaimed over the loud speaker that "Laurel Wassner has taken the lead." Last we saw, she was down by about 45 seconds out of T2, but I knew that those fast legs would bring her the win--and also the fastest run split of the day by far.

Next year, the Wassner Twins will go 1-2 and hopefully I'll get my lazy bum in gear to do the race, too. I would love a piece of that podium! (For my age-group! I'll let my sisters dominate the pro field!)
