Go Go Go

One of Eamon's favorite words these days? GO! This translate into "Let's run!" He loves running and can really move. Yesterday, we were hanging out at the track on a beautiful, clear and SUNNY afternoon and we let Eamon loose. He made it almost halfway around the track (that's 200 meters!) before the being distracted by the leftover snow on the infield. Granted, he doesn't run completely nonstop. He's like a puppy, taking short, quick bursts, then stopping to inspect a patch of grass before taking off once more.

Mark took these pictures as part of a little photo shoot we had for my editor's letter for Competitor. They requested "professional" portraits, and I think Mark did an excellent job! I'll show you some of the final shots once I weed through them all.

Yum.

Eamon went to a Valentine's Party with all of his friends on Monday, and was treated to two hours of uninterrupted play with someone else's (much cooler!) toys AND lots of sweets. I let him munch on this heart-shaped lollypop after we got home, and he devoured the entire thing. I worried he'd never go to bed after that sugar rush, but we wound up sleeping for over 13 hours! Go figure.

Playing Around

Yes I realize it's a little TPT to let your baby run around in nothing but a diaper, but if Eamon had his way (which he sometimes does!), he'd be naked 24/7. Anyway, despite the lack of clothes in this series of shots, I wanted to share them with you, as I love Eamon's expressions! He's playing the game with Mark in which he, basically, pulls his "bubby" off Mark's head. Provides at least 20 minutes of entertainment. As you can see in this sequence, he gets VERY excited.

Snow Day!

Eamon and I had a fun little journey out in the snow today. He had a great time trying to maintain his footing on the 8-plus inches covering the ground, and was in awe of some of the giant snowmen spotting the park (we saw at least five).

As you can see, he is wearing his adorable matching sweater and hat that Jeanie bought for him in Estonia (after taking his jacket off for lunch, he refused to put it back on...it's not that cold here, so I figured he'd be OK for a bit). I'm glad we've had so many chances to break out the sweater and hat--they're so cute, and we can't go a block without getting a compliment!

Hope everyone is having as much fun with all of this snow. Although I know for those of you in DC, it's total SNOWverkill at this point. :-)

I'm having a lot of fun playing around with a very fancy, way out-of-my-league camera that's been lent to me to shoot some images for Competitor magazine. I finally can snap a solid image of Eamon as he zips around--and the results are crisp, cute, and fun. Despite it's many high-tech features, the camera is pretty easy to operate, which makes even a tech-dummy like me feel like a pro!
