Up the Wall
Me (exasperated, as always): Eamon, you are driving me up the wall!
Eamon (Looking confused and concerned): Where?
Me: Up the wall!
Eamon: But I don't want you to go up there! I'll miss you!
All Football, All the Time
Eamon (going through his calendar and all of the holidays, one of his favorite activities): Mommy, what's on November first?
Me: All Saints Day.
Eamon: All Saints Day? But I don't really like the Saints...they lose sometimes. What about All Giants day--what day is that?
Giants Rule
Eamon: Gazing wide-eyed and open-mouthed at our local laundromat, which has a big Giants flag in the window: "Oh my goodness, I can't believe it. Look, the laundry place is a Giants fan, too!"
Eamon--or Rainman?
(Said while sitting down to eat at Sam's school fair, which kinda sorta doubled as Jack's birthday party)
Diz: You should give Jack some cotton candy first, it's his birthday party.
Eamon: But it's not Jack's party. It's Sam's party for his school...Jack's birthday is on March 17th and today is March fifth. {ooo-kay, Mr. Literal! I told you the kid is calendar obsessed!}
