The oft-ignored, but much-beloved home of my random thoughts and observations of life...now beyond Washington Street.

Big Boy E
I took these last week while waiting in the car last week (when you're traveling in two cars with three kids, there seems to be a lot of waiting around to get from place to place!). Eamon was totally hamming it up for the camera and giving me all sorts of expressions. I see a lot of familiar features in these shots, both from the Flynn and Wassner/O'Connell sides, but I can't put my finger on who he reminds me of!
He also looks SO old to me; more like a toddler than a little guy...
Clark's Farm
Who knew that just a mile or so away from the site of the Columbia tri was this very cool place for kids? Leezie scoped out Clark's farm online and we ventured there last Thursday. It was a perfect spot for tots--animals to pet, toys to push around, tractors to ogle at and funky little Nursery Rhyme-themed playhouses spotting the many-acred grounds. It's been around forever, but they recently refurbished the playhouses so they're all in great shape. Plus, there was hardly anyone there, so we had the run of the place ourselves and stayed for hours!
By the end of the afternoon, Sam and Eamon were as dirty as all little boys on a farm should be and completely exhausted. They both slept very well that night!
Pool Time
Eamon couldn't get enough of the pool. He LOVES it and has no fear (not sure if that's a good or a bad thing). I even had him hanging on to the side by himself (to practice kicking, of course!) and jumping in from a seated position. He readily puts his face in the water, too, and even likes going under.
Sam is more of a deck-rat, but we're hoping that by the time the summer's over, he'll be just as much of a water baby as E.
