Movin' on up...

Eamon's officially a "cruiser" now--rarely sitting down to do anything (but eat!). He much prefers to be on his feet and will stand for long lengths of time while playing, gingerly making his way from one piece of furniture to the next. His newfound mobility has given him many options when it comes to exploring (the stereo and TV attract him like a magnet, he likes cords of any kind, and in the bedroom, he goes right for the dresser...oh no!). So, I recently opted for a "Play Yard" (glorified baby gates) to keep him, um, contained during the day while I attempt to work.

He's pretty good at ocupying himself in there for the most part, thanks to the easy access to all of his toys. And when I have Noggin on (I have to do what it takes when I'm trying to get stories written and research done), he'll just hang on to one end, stand on his tippy-toes, and angle for a view of the TV. Crazy the mesmerizing effect these kids' shows have on the little ones! But I'm happy that it keeps him happy for long stints of time...let's just hope he's learning something from all of these so-called educational programs!

We have the play yard, too. Not her favorite thing, but it works.
