Yankees Stadium!
Now we can call E a true New Yorker--he's been to Yankees Stadium! Last night, we joined Sissy and Erik (up for a quick visit during their whirlwind east coast tour) in the Bronx to see a game against the Rangers. The new stadium is awesome and despite some forboding clouds, the rain held out and we had a perfect night (not so perfect for the Yanks, though; they lost. But we did get to see one homer by Jorge Posada which was very cool.). Eamon LOVED the music, the lights, and all of the people--so much so that he stayed up until at least 9:30 and only took a brief snooze before waking right up for the long journey back to 'Boken. I've d efinitely passed my night owl genes onto him--he seems to come alive after 10!
Our seats were great (thanks, Erik!) and we got an even better view while leaving the stadium--just a few rows up from home plate. A-Rod was up, so I got a pretty nice (but blurry shot of his swing).
