Quick Observations From Oz

• They broadcast the entire women’s IAAF World Champs Marathon on Tv this morning (Go Catherine Ndereba!). And tonight they’re playing even more!
• There are some awesome playgrounds that involve so much more than slides and swings; I saw some kids trying out a see-saw that got its momentum by pedaling—as well as a train-like thing that you pedal around the perimeter of the playground.
• The birds are very exotic and beautifully-colored. And the pelicans are HUGE.
• I’ve seen three amusement parks with some pretty crazy-looking water slides, including one that’s about a mile away from me in Sea World!
