Good news

Hooray! Eamon 's arm is HEALED! After a visit to the orthopedist yesterday and another x-ray, we received the excellent news that his humerus bone has fused back together. The doctor was very positive and said we there's no need for further followup or physical therapy. I would have done a dance right there in the examination room had Eamon not been screaming (he was hungry and had a dirty diaper...a double whammy!).

E's acting as though nothing ever happened and is moving his arm with ease. He's also become quite the reflective little guy and spends his wakeful time just staring at the ceiling. (And in turn, I tend to stare at him in complete awe!). Once in a while he'll get chatty and start making cute coos and other baby noises. Those moments make all of the late night diaper changings and feedings completely worth it!

Here are some pics of E in one of his contemplative moods. Now if only I could get him to time these chill periods when we're say, at the store or elsewhere in public (we've had a few meltdowns lately eliciting some stares and "boy, is he hungry!" comments from strangers...). I guess that's just life with a newborn!
