Number One!

Eamon and I made a bright-and-early trip up to Rye, NY, on Sunday morning, where we saw Aunt Bec and Karl go one-three at the Westchester Tri! Yup, it was E's second race in two weeks...good thing he seems to like the tri scene or else we'd be in major trouble!

I was so excited to see my amazing sisters conquer the competition with ease--especially awesome considering they were both just one week removed from the half-ironman in Canada (that's a total of 70.3 miles of swimming, biking, and running!). Most people need months to recover from that kind of distance, but the two of them just bounced back like it was a sprint. They showed zero signs of fatigue as they ran the fastest splits of the day among women and both finished with huge smiles on their faces!

Aside from taking in the race action, Eamon also got to spend a little time with "Grand Liz", Papa Irv, and Great Aunt Bubba. He had so much fun, he passed out for a good three hours afterwards...exhausting work being a baby!
