There's definitely no lack of activity in our weekends...We took another trip down the Jersey Turnpike; this time for a visit to Silver Spring, Bethesda, Thurmont, DC, and Arlington! After a fun trip down from NYC with Leezie, Sam, and Eamon snuggled up in the backseat (see pic), we drove through rain and some alternating crying jags (Eamon, then Sam, Sam, then Eamon) before descending upon University Towers. We woke up early on Saturday to head into Bethesda, where we met with Corinne and Lonnie (in from San Fran with an adorable new 'do!). We brunched with them before getting back in the car for a trip up to the Farm where we celebrated Sam's first birthday! Aleta and crew, Bubba, Jeanie, Uncle Phil, the 'rents, and the Kobilinsky's all were there for the festivities.

We had a great time hanging out, eating BBQ, and watching Sam dig into his fuuurst birthday cake (we sang to Philip, too, who will be two soon....). Sam is such a cute guy who is always all smiles and now "cruises"....he's ready to WALK!

On Sunday, Mark, E, and I drove into DC to watch the Nation's Tri...two Flynn cousins were competing so we got to see the tail end of the run. It was a huge race (close to 3,000 competitors) and I was wishing I was out there crossing that finish line with everyone else! We then honored the triathletes at a BIG fam brunch at Rhodeside in Rosslyn...there were 20 of us there!

After all of that fun, we scooped Leezie and Sam up and piled back into the car for another trip up the road. We pulled into the 'Boken around 1 am, completely exhausted! But it was all worth it...always so wonderful to see the friends and fam!
